I – a – Reservation Conditions:
In order to confirm the reservation, the customer must provide a telephone number and either their bank card details, or their email address, all transactions using a secure mode. The reservation will only become effective after receipt of the confirmation sent to the customer by the Ara Hotel. Full payment for the stay must be made directly to the hotel.
Prices are in Euros. VAT is included. Prices only include the services requested at reservation. At check-out, any additional services provided by the Hotel during the stay and, where applicable, tourist tax will be added to the price stated in the reservation.
Prices shown on the website are subject to change and therefore only the price shown on the reservation confirmation is contractually binding.
Anyone staying at the Ara Hotel must show proof of identity when paying by cheque or holiday voucher. Failure to do so will result in the hotelier being obliged to refuse the room rental request.
In order to guarantee the reservation, a deposit may be required from the customer for certain bookings. This deposit should be paid directly to the Hotel, within the time frame indicated, when making the reservation.
The deposit may be made by cheque, made payable to the Hotel and sent by post, or by bank card. The reservation will only become definitive on receipt of the deposit within the aforementioned time frame. The balance payment for the stay must be made directly to the hotel.
Any anticipated late arrival at the hotel should be notified in advance.
I – b – Modifying a reservation:
Clients wishing to modify their reservation must do so as soon as possible and no later than forty-eight (48) hours in advance, subject to refusal by the hotel.
Reservation modifications are firm and definitive only after the hotel has sent you confirmation by e-mail. Where appropriate, modification requests may result in the application of cancellation conditions.
Force majeure:
Force majeure refers to any event outside the control of either party that is both unforeseeable and insurmountable, preventing either the customer or the Hotel from fulfilling all or part of the obligations set out in the contract. This applies in particular in the event of strike, insurrection, riot or restrictions imposed by government or public authorities.
It is expressly agreed that force majeure suspends, for both parties, the fulfilment of their mutual obligations and that each party shall bear the costs arising therefrom.
In particular, clients will be solely responsible for any additional costs that may be incurred to enable the continuation of their journey. In the event of force majeure, clients may have to be relocated to another hotel nearby, which will be accepted by them.
Cases of disruption, late arrival or early departure:
If the stay is curtailed, no refund will be made, and failure to show up will be deemed to mean that the room has been occupied. The balance of the stay is also due in full in the event of early departure. There is no refund for late arrivals or early departures.
I – c – Reservation cancellation conditions:
Reservations may be cancelled within two (2) days of the arrival date, without incurring any charges.
If cancellation is made with less than 2 days’ notice then 1 night will be charged and debited. In the event that a deposit was paid, regardless of when the cancellation is notified, the deposit will not be reimbursed. To cancel a reservation, the customer should contact the Ara Hotel either by email or by
telephone. Cancellations by fax are not accepted.
Cancellation of a reservation requested by email will not be effective until the Ara Hotel has sent an email to the customer confirming the cancellation.
The date of receipt of the cancellation request (by e-mail, post or telephone) will be the date taken into account for the cancellation.
If the customer fails to turn up at the hotel, the full amount of the reservation will be deducted from the bill.
